titleOfInvention DERIVATIVES OF 2-AMINO-CYCLOPEN-1-ENE-1 DYTHIOCARBOXYLIC ACID AND PROCEDURE FOR THEIR PREPARATION
abstract 2-Aminocyclopentane-1-thiocarbonyl disulphides (I) and their physiologically acceptable salts are new. In (I), R is H or 1-6C alkyl (opt. substd. by 1-4C alkoxy, OH, CO and/or amino); 2-4C alkenyl, 3-8C cycloalkyl, or phenyl. (I) are dopamine-beta-hydroxylase inhibitors and have antihypertensive and antiparkinsonism activity. (I) have lower toxicity than known dopamine-beta-hydroxylase inhibitors. A typical prod., 2-allylamino cyclopentene-1-thiocarbonyl disulphide, is prepd. in 84.4% yield by the H2O2 oxidn. of 2-allylaminocyclopentene-1-dithiocarboxylic acid.
