titleOfInvention 5 (3) -HYDROXY-PYRAZOLS REPLACED IN POSITION 3 (5) AND THEIR PREPARATION PROCEDURE
abstract 3-Hydroxy-pyrazole (thio)phosphoric acid esters of formulae (III) and (IV) and intermediates (I) and (II) are new: (where R is H, 1-7C alkyl (opt. substd. by cyano, alkylcarboxylic and halo gps), opt. substd. phenyl, benzyl, alkenyl or alkynyl, X is halo, -SR, -OR, -N(R)2 or -CY=C(Y)2, each Y is H, halo, 1-3C alkyl, -SR, -OR or -N(R)2, Z is S or O, R1 and R2 are each alkoxy, alkyl, phenyl, alkylthio or alkylamino, with the condition that and in (I), when X is halo or -N(R)2, the R gp. joined to the pyrazole N atom is not phenyl). The cpds. are insecticides, acaricides and nematocides active against lepidoptera, diptera, coleoptera, etc. and have low toxicity to mammals. They are compared with ]Pyrazothion' and have superior activity against cockroaches and aphids. Tests against Mocrosiphum euphorbiae (aphids), Pieris brassicae (Lepidoptera), Leptinotarsa decemleneata (coleoptera), Culex pipiens larvae and adults diptera), Tetranychus urticae (acarian), Spodoptera littoralis (lepidoptera), Meloidogyne incognita (nematodes), Blatta orientalis (orthoptera) and Nusca domestica (diptera) are described.
