titleOfInvention An insulation panel
abstract This invention relates to an insulation panel suitable for use at a junction in a cavity wall, such as, but not limited to, a junction formed by a radon barrier. The insulation panel comprises a foam polymer core having a high impact polystyrene (HIPS) facer bonded thereto. The HIPS facer has a plurality of rows of spaced apart flutes extending the length of the panel. The insulation panel has at least two cutting regions free of flutes running along the length of the panel parallel to the rows of spaced-apart flutes and parallel to a longitudinal edge of the panel. The cutting regions are located at distances centred around 0.150 m and 0.225 m from the longitudinal edge of the panel. This provides an insulation panel that can be cut accurately and with the minimum of difficulty to a desired size to fit snugly in and around the junction. <Figure 1>
