Compounds of the formula <CHEM> wherein R<1> is hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl; R<2> is hydrogen, C1-C4 alkyl or R<a>-O-@- wherein R<a> is C1-C4 alkyl; R<1> and R<2> together are alkylene having 3 to 6 carbon atoms; R<3> is hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl; R<4> is hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl, R<5> is hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl; R<6> is hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl; and R<7> and R<8> independently are (1) hydrogen; (2) halogen; (3) C1-C4 alkyl; (4) C1-C4 alkoxy; (5) OCF3; (6) cyano; (7) nitro; (8) C1-C4 haloalkyl; (9) R<b>SOn- wherein n is the integer 0, 1 or 2; and R<b> is (a) C1-C4 alkyl; (b) C1-C4 alkyl substituted with halogen or cyano; (c) phenyl; or (d) benzyl; (10) -NR<c>R<d> wherein R<c> and R<d> independently are hydrogen or C1-C4 alkyl; (11) R<e>C(O)-wherein R<e> is C1-C4 alkyl or C1-C4 alkoxy; or (12) SO2NR<c>R<d> wherein R<c> and R<d> are as defined, with the proviso that R<7> is not attached to the 6-position, are effective as herbicides.n[EP0186118A2] |
