abstract A veterinary product for treating mastitis in dry cows comprises a first antibiotic-containing composition and a second seal composition in injectors for intramammary application. The antibiotic-containing composition comprises cloxacillin benzathine in a micronised form in an aqueous base. The seal includes a heavy metal salt such as bismuth subnitrate in amounts preferably of greater thatn 40%, most preferably 65% by weight. A gel based on low density or high density polyethylene is used in the seal composition.
