titleOfInvention | Process for the preparation of oxymethylene polymers |
abstract | 1534592 Initiated polymerization of trioxane HOECHST AG 2 Sept 1976 [2 Sept 1975] 36406/76 Heading C3P An oxymethylene polymer is made by polymerizing trioxane, optionally with a copolymerizable acetal, in the presence of an oxonium, carbonium or diazonium salt of a Lewis acid, as initiator, in solution in a liquid or molten cyclic carbonic acid ester having a purity of at least 95%. In the examples mixtures of trioxane and 1,3-dioxolane were polymerized in the presence of solutions of triphenyl carbonium hexafluoro-arsenate or -antimonate in ethylene glycol carbonate. |
