abstract 1501096 Hypercholesterolaemia treatment BRISTOL - MYERS CO 4 June 1975 [4 June 1974] 24794/74 Addition to 1469457 Heading A5B A pharmaceutical composition for use in the treatment per os of hypercholesterolaemia comprises (a) p-chlorophenoxyisobutyric acid, or the methyl, ethyl, n - propyl or n - butyl ester thereof, or a sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, aluminium, zinc, bismuth or iron salt thereof, and (b) one or more ingestible non-toxic aluminium, magnesium or bismuth salts capable of dissolution in human gastrointestinal juices, the total amount of non- toxic metal being from 3.2 to 90 equivalents per mole of α - p - chlorophenoxyisobutyric acid or ester or salt thereof.
