| abstract | 1449272 Aerosol compositions containing food additives or lubricants E R HOWARD Ltd 19 March 1974 [23 March 1973] 14102/73 Heading C4X An aerosol composition containing an oilbased food additive or food lubricant is prepared by adding solid carbon dioxide to a mixture in an open aerosol container, the mixture comprising the food additive or food lubricant and a liquid diluent therefor, the diluent being liquid at room temperature (about 15À5‹ C.) and having a boiling point of less than 100‹ C. at normal atmospheric pressure, and closing the container after about three or more seconds in order that the headspace of the container is substantially filled with pressurized carbon dioxide. In the examples solutions and concentrates containing garden unit extract, refined vegetable oil, trichlorofluoromethane, sage extract, ethyl alcohol and natural lecithin containing lecithin, cephalin and inositol phosphalides together with cocoa butter and refined cotton seed oil are filled into aerosol containers, pieces of solid carbon dioxide added, the valves inserted and the containers sealed by crimping.n[GB1449272A] |
