titleOfInvention | Milk replacer compositions |
abstract | Milk substitutes are made contg >=5 wt.% (esp. 5-30 wt.%) of a dry powdered microorganism prod. produced by fermentation process. Suitable additives can be made by drying (e.g. by spraying, evaporating, fluidized bed etc) fermentation prods amde using gas oil hydrocarbons as carbon source. Advantageous results are obtd by using powders with an average particle size of 70 mu and >=90% of the particles have a particle size of 100 mu. Typical additive is milled dry powdered yeast. Prods, based for example on dried whey, are useful as animal feeds, e.g. for lambs and calves.n[DE2338403A1] |
