titleOfInvention | Microencapsulating hydrophobic oil droplets. |
abstract | 1357419 Microcapsules FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 1 June 1971 [1 June 1970] 18506/71 Heading B8C In the preparation of microcapsules by complex coacervation of two hydrophilic colloids of opposite charge from an aqueous dispersion thereof and deposition of the coacervate on to droplets of an oil suspended therein, a substantially linear condensation product of naphthalene sulphonic acid and formaldehyde having a degree of polymerization of no more than about 12 is added, before any hardening or "prehardening" steps, to produce microcapsules having improved walls. A "shock-preventing" substance such as sodium nucleate or a cellulose derivative may also be added. Examples relate largely to microcapsules useful in the production of transfer record sheets and the like.n[GB1357419A] |
