titleOfInvention Neutral enzyme-containing detergent composition
abstract 1296901 Detergent compositions PROCTER & GAMBLE CO 4 May 1970 [2 May 1969] 21270/70 Heading C5D A detergent composition comprises A 10- 85% of a detergent as defined below, B a proteolytic enzyme and C 10-75% of a polycarboxylate sequestering agent which at 0À1% concentration is capable of reducing the calcium ion concentration of an aqueous solution from 1À2 x 10<SP>-3</SP> to 1À7 Î 10<SP>-4</SP> gram ions per litre. The detergent is chosen from (1) a compound of formula where R 1 is C 6-20 alkyl or alkenyl, R 2 is C 1-10 alkyl and M is a cation, (2) a compound of formula wherein R 1 is C 9-23 alkyl, R 2 is C 1-8 alkyl and M is a cation, (3) a compound of formula where R is C 10-20 alkyl, x is 1-30 and M is a cation, (4) an olefin sulphonate having 12-24 carbon atoms, (5) a compound of formula where R 1 is C 8-18 alkyl, alkenyl or monohydroxyalkyl optionally joined to the phosphorus atom by a 2-hydroxypropylene group or a chain of up to 10 oxyethylene groups, and R 2 and R 3 are C 1-3 alkyl or monohydroxy alkyl, (6) a compound of formula where R 1 is C 8-18 alkyl, R 2 is H or C 1-3 alkyl, R 3 is C 1-4 alkylene, Z is carboxylate, sulphonate, sulphate, phosphate or phosphonate and M is a cation, or (7) a compound of formula where R 1 is as defined in (5) above, Y is N, P or S, R 2 is C 1-3 alkyl or monohydroxylalkyl, x is 1 when Y is S'and 2 when Y is N or P, R 3 is C 1-4 alkylene or hydroxyalkylene, and Z is as defined in (6) above. In the examples, the following composition ingredients are disclosed : detergents sodium salt of 1-hexadecene sulphonate, sodium salt of the methyl ester of alphasulphonated tallow fatty acid, sodium salt of beta-acetoxy - hexadecane - 1 - sulphonic acid, sodium salt of tallow alkyl hexa-oxyethylene sulphate, sodium salt of 3-(hexadecyl methylamino) propionic acid, dimethyl hexadecylammonio propane sulphonate, enzymes: neutral and alkaline subtilisin enzymes, sequestering agents: sodium nitrilo triacetate, sodium polymaleate, sodium copolymaleate-itaconate, ethylene / sodium maleate copolymer, disodium nitrilotriacetate, oxydiacetic acid, citric acid, mellitic acid, furan tetracarboxylic acid, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, nitrilotriacetic acid, sodium salt of oxidized starch, builders' sodium sulphate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium bisulphate, sodium chloride, borax, sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate, other additives sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, brighteners.n[GB1296901A]
