abstract The electric lamp has a quartz glass lamp vessel (1) with tungsten current supply conductors (3) extending to an electric element (2) arranged in the lamp vessel (1). The current supply conductors (3) have a continuous coating (4) of quartz glass which extends from the interior to the exterior of the lamp vessel (1) and contain rhenium at least at their surfaces. The coating (4) has a very strong adhesion to the metal; the lamp vessel (1) has a great strength.
