titleOfInvention Process for producing colourable plastic coverings and matrixes
abstract A colourable synthetic surfacing and embedding cpd., consists of one or several fillers bound by a furnace resin pref. by a furfuryl-alcohol- formaldehyde condensate or occasionally by a urea resin pref. by a urea-formaldehyde condensate. The cpd. is formulated in such a way, that it should be just pourable, or poundable or calenderable, once 2-20wt.% ammonium-chloride (or an aq. soln. of NH4Cl) and max. 15wt.% of furfuryl-alcohol are also added. - Dyes or pigments of sepd. colour are also added, but only to an extent that physicochemical characteristics of the mix should remain unaffected. Based on the wt. of a pigmented mix and depending on sepd. length of polymerisation time 2-20wt.% polymeric acid catalyst is added. (E.g. a polycondensate of a formaldehyde-urea complex of p- m-cresol-sulphonic-acid, sulphuric acid, or of dodecyl-benzene sulphonic acid). - This prepn. is suitable for surfacing roads, floor, walls and embedding components where resistance against aggressive agents, chemicals, and heat is sought.
