abstract | Mildly acidic insecticide compsns. with imagocide and ovicide action against blood-sucking insects contain as active ingredients 0.3-10.0 pts. wt. Permethrin or a mixt. of Permethrin and Tetramethrin, opt. a synergist in amts. 3-10 times the amt. of Tetramethrin, pref. piperonyl-butoxide, 0.03-30.0 parts by wt. repellent, pref. N,N-diethyl-toluamide, 0.1-0.3 pts. wt. antioxidant, pref. tocopherol. propyl-gallate, butyl-hydroxy-toluene, butyl-hydroxy-anisol or a mixt. of these, 0.1-0.5 pts. wt. scent, like oil of lavender. The compsn. can be applied diluted with water or undiluted. To maintain the mildly acid character of the compsn. at pH 4.0-6.9, pref. at pH 6.0-6.5 the compsns. contain 0.0001-0.02 parts by wt. non-ionic fluorinated surfactant, 0.0005-0.4 pts. wt. propionic-acid, salicylic-acid, benzoic-acid or a mixt. of these, furthermore up to 100 pts. vol. polar organic solvent, pref. a mono- or poly-functional alcohol like ethanol, polyethylene-glycol, propylene-glycol or isopropanol or a mixt. of these, the solvent contg. 0.1-1.5 parts by wt. nonionic and/or anionic surfactant or a mixt. of these with an HLB value greater than 13. |
