Therapeutic use of T-BAM (CD40L) technology for the treatment of smooth muscle cell diseases |
abstract |
The present invention provides a method for inhibiting the activation of CD40 heat-bath smoothing cells by CD40 ligand (CD40L) on the cell surface in vivo and ex vivo. The method involves heating the cells into contact with an agent that is capable of preventing the interaction between CD40L and CD40 on the cells. They outline the principles of designing a suitable agent. In vivo inhibition of CD40 heat bath smoothing cell activation can be used to treat smooth cell dependent diseases. ŕ |
