New Escherichia coli strains, methods for their production and their use in fermentation processes to produce L-threonine |
abstract |
The present invention relates to E. coli strains in their chromium somes operably linked to a threonine stem (thr-stem) which do not require the production of a recombinant plasmid cathreonine. The invention further relates to a process for the production of amino acid-producing E. coli strains, and further to processes for the production of amino acids belonging to the azaspartate family, preferably L-threonine, by fermentation by culturing skin relidine-resistant E. coli strains, preferably according to the invention. The broth according to the invention is suitable for the economical production of L-threine with recombinant E. coli strains. ŕ |
