titleOfInvention | Process for enviroment friendly treating of contaminated oily emulsions arising during metal-working |
abstract | Process of separating contaminated oil in water emulsions produced by machining of metal, and to reduce the chemical oxygen demand (COD) value of the aqueous phase below 40 mg/l, comprises adding a strong mineral acid to the treated emulsion, setting the pH value to 1-5; then adding a metal of negative standard electrode potential to the acidic emulsion; mixing intensively the mixture; then let to stay until the separation of the oily and aqueous phases; and educing the separated phases. Process of separating contaminated oil in water emulsions produced by machining of metal, and to reduce the chemical oxygen demand (COD) value of the aqueous phase below 40 mg/l, comprises adding a strong mineral acid to the treated emulsion, setting the pH value to 1-5, where the volume proportion of the emulsion to acid is 40:1 to 1:1; then adding a metal of negative standard electrode potential to the acidic emulsion in a molar proportion of 0.1-0.5, i.e. such a quantity of metal is added that the solution remains acidic when the production of hydrogen gas is finished; mixing intensively the mixture; then let to stay until the separation of the oily and aqueous phases; and educing separated phases. |
