The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a crosslinked polymer suitable for the production of ion exchangers by swelling smaller polymer particles in polymer core-copolymerizable monomers and then polymerizing them. Thus, larger particles are formed, which, however, have a particle size distribution similar to that of the original sample. It is a feature of the present invention to use a microencapsulated polymer as the starting polymer core. ŕ |
