Nucleotide Monomer Analogs Containing Amino Acids |
abstract |
The present invention relates to various novel oligonucleotide analogs that have one or more properties that are superior to conventional oligonucleotides in methods of using the oligonucleotides. The compounds of the invention are oligonucleotide analogs in which the natural nucleic acids have been replaced by a furanose ring with an amino acid or a modified amino alcohol. The compounds of the invention are particularly useful in regulating gene expression antisense. The compounds of the invention may also be used as hybridization probes or primers. The invention also relates to monomer precursors of oligonucleotide analogs which can be used in the synthesis of oligonucleotides and to pharmaceutical compositions containing the oligonucleotides. ŕ |
