titleOfInvention Process for the recovery of gibberellic acid in high purity from fusarium moniliforme microorganism culture
abstract High purity gibberellic acid is extracted from a culture of Fusarium moniliform micro-organism. Acidified aq. fermentation brew is liberated from proteins by microfiltration, and gibberellic acid found in the filtrate is held on an adsorption resin. The resin is selectively eluted by a phosphate-buffer soln. of pH 7.5-8.5 pref. pH 8. The eluate is extracted by organic solvents. The extracts are concentrated and gibberellic acid is crystallised.
