titleOfInvention | Process for preparation of dl-lysine-2-14c |
abstract | The present invention provides a novel process for the preparation of a radioactive compound containing 14C at position 2 of the DL-lysine molecule. The process involves the following essential reaction steps: preparation of 5-alkoxyvaleric acid-14C from radioactive carbon dioxide followed by 5-alkoxy-valeroaldehyde-14C (73) Patent Institute of Central Chemistry, HAS (Budapest) by reduction of 5- (4-alkoxy-butyl) -hydantoin-4-14C; from the radioactive hydantoin by bromination with hydrogen bromide, 5- (4-bromobutyl) -hydione-4-14C is formed; its hydrolysis in barium hydroxide solution yields DL-lysine 2-14C amino acid.
