abstract |
Powders, esp. pigments and/or filters are dispersed in an aq. emulsifier soln. This emulsifier used on its own or together with conventional surfactants at 0.3-30 wt.% level of powders is an adduct of -a styrene- maleic -acid- anhydride-copolymer (mol.wt.: 1400-2500; acid no.:270-480 mgkOH/g), and/or of a partial ester formed by styrene-maleic-acid-anhydride-copolymer and a 1-20C alcohol/mol.wt.: 1700-2500; acid no.: 210-230 mgkOH/g) - and of fatty acid esters of oxyethylated multifunctional aliphatic alcohols acid/or fatty acid polyethylene esters, and/or oxyethylated-fatty acid alcohols and/or oxyethylated alkyl phenols. The dissolved alkali neturalises adduct forms a soln. contg. 18-28 wt.% solids. |
