abstract | The present invention relates to a compound of formula I wherein R1, R2 and R3 are methyl, R4 is pyridyl, R5 is hydrogen or carboxyl, n is an integer from 0 to 5. The compounds of the present invention are prepared by: a) deprotecting a compound of formula II wherein R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 are as defined above and R8 is methyl; ) the hydroquinone derivative of formula IV wherein R1 is as defined above for the compound of formula V wherein n is R, as defined above and X is hydroxy or acetoxy, is condensed, or c. ) reduction of the quinone derivative of formula (III) wherein R ', R2, R3, R4, R5 are n is given. The compounds of the present invention have thromboxane A2 synthase inhibitor, thromboxane A2 receptor antagonist, 5-lipoxygenase inhibiting or active oxygen strain elimination.
