titleOfInvention Method for reproducing embossed surface respectively surface-parts of objects by copy true to dimension and form
abstract The method uses a thermoplastic sheet over a hard negative imprint of the surface to be reproduced. Using the hard negative, a secondary positive mould is formed of an elastic material, preferably vulcanised rubber. The negative and positive moulds are heated and brought together, as a press tool, compressing the thermoplastic sheet between them using a pre-determined force (F). After removing the compressive force, the material is cooled, so that the shape produced by the moulds is fixed.
