abstract FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to 4.9 (1L) -androstadiene-3,17-dione; 3-oxo-23,24-dinor-4,9 (11) -choladiene-22 acid and C 1-4 alkyl ester; 3-oxo-2324-dinor-4,9 (11), 17 (20) -cholinium-22-acid and C1-C4-alkyl ester, 22-hydroxy-23,24-dinor-4,9 (1 l) - cola-3-one; 27-nor-4,9 (11) -cholastadiene-3,24-dione and 26,27-dinor-4,9 (II) cholestadiene-3,24-dione 12-position dehydrogenation by microbiology, comprising: dehydrogenation with a bacterium of the genus Arthrobacter or Mycobacterium of the genus 3ο -ο-ΔΙ dehydrogenase or fusarium genus under aerobic conditions in the presence of a macroporous polystyrene absorption resin and the resulting 1,4,9 (1 L) -androstadiene3,17- diotít; 3-oxo-23,24-dinor-1,4,4 (II) -choladiene-22-acid and C 1-4 -alkyl; 3-oxo-2324-dinor-1,4, (11), 17 (20) -cholinium-22-acid and C1-C4-alkyl ester, 22-hydroxy-23,24-dinor-1, 4.9 (II) - cola-3-one; 27-nor-1,4,4,9 (11) -cholastadiene-3,24-dione or 26,27-dinor-1,4,9 (1 L) cholestadiene-3,24-dione is optionally isolated from the fermentation broth.
