titleOfInvention Ion-selective electrode compensating matrix effect
abstract A sensing element, suitably the membrane, of an ion selective electrode, capable of offsetting matrix effects, is constructed of plasticised PVC with added 0.1-70% of crosslinked polysiloxane and of an active material which is dispersed on a molecular scale in it. - The active material may be in a complex forming state or may be dissolved in a solvent. In this particular case the sensor contains a system of a dispersed nature, or of indeterminate shapes. This system is either surface treated, or is impregnated by the active material itself or by a solution of it. Pref. the system also contains a synthetic mesh.
