Process for producing pentafluorphenol derivatives of biotin |
abstract |
Biotin-penta:fluoro-phenolic esters of general formula (I) (n is 0 or 1) are prepd. from biotin (II) and penta:fluoro-phenol, in the presence of di:cyclo-hexyl-carbo-diimide. Biotin-penta:fluoro-phenolic esters of formula (III) may be reacted with epsilon-amino-caproic acid to yield a biotin cpd. of general formula (IV). Cpd. (IV) reacts with penta:fluoro-phenol penta: fluoro-phenolic esters are used for the biotinisation of proteins. |
