abstract | Simultaneous biotehnical prepn. of carbamide derivs., namely 5,-hydroxy- benzimidazolyl-cobamide coenzyme or 5-hydroxy- benzimidazolyl -cobamide and optionally 5,6-di -methyl- benzimidazolyl -co-bamide coenzyme or 5,6-di-methyl- benzimidazolyl cobamide employs anaerobic, septic fermentation by a mixed micro-population of mesophylic methane producing bacteria as 24 A1 labelled Corynebacterium Sp., 239 A 1/6 labelled Propionibacterium Sp., and NC017 labelled Methanococcus on a nutrient contg. partially known precursors namely 5-hydroxy- benzimidazole or 3,4-di-aminophenol or 3,4-di-nitro-phenol or optionally 5,6-di -methyl benzimidazole. Cells contg. 5-hydroxy benzimidazolyl -cobamide-coenzymes are isolated and opt. treated by known method in the presence of cyanide ions. |
