titleOfInvention Process for producing pharmaceutical compositions of regulated dissolution of the active agents containing water-soluble inorganic pharmacons
abstract The present invention relates to controlled-release, sustained-release and sustained release drug formulations comprising water-soluble granules, preferably 0.1-0.7 mm, for the production of controlled-release pharmaceutical compositions containing water-soluble inorganic pharmacons, preferably inorganic cations. a particulate solid active ingredient is homogeneously admixed with 0.1-1.0% fine dispersed hydrophobic pharmaceutical excipient, e.g., fine-divided silica, talc, magnesium stearate or zinc stearate, and the particles of this mixture are of a lipophilic material, preferably of a quality suitable for pharmaceutical purposes, or with a wax derivative such as white wax, kamaiwax, cetaceum or cetyl alcohol, or a pharmaceutical grade hydrophobic fatty acid ester such as glycerol monostearate or sorbitan fatty acid ester coated and coated in a manner known per se in capsules soluble in the gastrointestinal tract. -1-
