A is <CHEM> X is NH2, N(CH3)2, NHCH3, C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C4 alkyl substituted with 1-3 atoms of F, Cl or Br, CH2OCH3, CH2OCH2CH3, C1-C4 alkoxy, C1-C2 alkylthio, C3-C4 alkenyloxy, C3-C4 alkynyloxy, OCH2CH2OCH3 or C2-C4 alkoxy substituted with 1-3 atoms of F, Cl or Br; n is 1 or 2; Y is H, CH3, OCH3 or Cl; X1 is O or CH2; Y1 is H, CH3, OCH3 or Cl; X2 and Y2 are independently CH3 or OCH3; and Z is CH, N, CCH3 CBr, CCl, CF, Cl, CC2H5, CCH2CH2Cl or CCH2CH=CH2; The compound may be formulated in compositions and may be used as general, as well as selective pre- and post emergence herbicides.
