| abstract |
The object and the object of the invention are to provide a soundproofing and heat-insulating leather powder composition with a content of synthetic resin from which sound-insulating and heat-insulating panels can be produced. It is characteristic of the composition that it contains finely divided leather powder of animal origin, phenolic resin or aminoplast resin and optionally together with the latter urea and / or modified furan resin, further optionally wetting agents and / or foaming agents and acidic catalysts and optionally water. The composition according to the invention is microporous and, if it is foamed in the preparation, additionally macroporous. The composition can be used to coat or disguise surfaces and to cast moldings, in particular plates.
