abstract |
A new process for the preparation of 5,11-dihydro-6H-pyrido [2,3-b] [1,4] benzodiazepine-6-ones by reacting a 2-halo-3-aminopyridine with an anthranilic acid ester followed by Ring closure of the obtained 2-halo-3 (2-aminobenzoyl) aminopyridine. These compounds are starting materials for the preparation of pharmacologically valuable derivatives, such as pirenzepine. |
