The aim is to provide a compound which inhibits the action of thromboxane synthetase and prevents the aggregation of blood platelets without affecting the vasodilator effect of prostacyclin synthetase or cyclooxygenase. The invention provides compounds of formula I wherein, for example: R & exp 1! Hydrogen or C & ind 1! -C & ind 4! -Lower alkyl, R & exp2! Hydrogen, C & ind 1! -C & ind 6! -Alkyl, C & ind 3! -C & ind 6! -Cycloalkyl and the like, R & exp 3! In which n is 1 to 3, Y is COOR & exp 4 !, CONHR & exp 5 !, CONHCN ua, R & exp 4! Hydrogen or C & ind 1! -C & ind 4! -Lower alkyl, R & exp 5!
