1439615 Substituted acetates SUMITOMO CHEMICAL CO Ltd 11 July 1973 [11 July 1972 19 April 1973] 33162/73 Heading C2C Novel substituted acetates have the formula wherein Y is a radical of the formula in which R 1 and R 2 are each independently hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, lower alkynyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkoxyalkyl, halogen-substituted lower alkyl, halogen-substituted lower alkenyl, halogen-substituted lower alkynyl, lower alkylthio, lower alkylsulphoxyl, acyl, acyloxy, lower alkoxycazrbonyl, lower alkenyloxycarbonyl, lower alkynyloxycarbonyl, or R 1 and R 2 together are methylenedioxy, tetramethylene or trimethylene; R 3 and R 4 are each independently hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, lower alkynyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkoxyalkyl, halogen-substituted lower alkyl, halogen-substituted lower alkenyl, halogen-substituted lower alkynyl, lower alkylthio, lower alkylsulphoxyl, acyl, acyloxy, lower alkoxycarbonyl, lower alkenyloxycarbonyl or lower alkynyloxycarbonyl; A is oxygen or sulphur; R 5 is hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro or lower alkyl; m is 1, 2 or 3; R 6 is hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro or lower alkyl; n is 1, 2 or 3; and the dotted line in the Formula (V) represents a double bond present at a position conjugated or unconjugated with the ketonic group; or Y represents a substituted ethylene group of the following general Formula (VI) in which R 7 , R 8 and R 9 lie in a plane together with the double bond at the #, # position of the ester group, and are each independently hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, lower alkynyl, halogen, acyl or acyloxy; Z is straight or branched chain lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, lower alkynyl, lower alkoxy, cyano, halogensubstituted lower alkyl, halogen-substituted lower alkenyl or C 3 -C 7 alicyclic; and X represents a group having one of the following general Formulae (VII) to (X) in which R 10 is allyl, propargyl, benzyl, thenyl, furylmethyl, phenoxy or phenylthio; R 11 is hydrogen, methyl, trifluoromethyl or halogen; or R 10 and R 11 may, when their terminal carbon atoms are bonded to each other, represent trimethylene or tetramethylene; R 12 is hydrogen, ethynyl or cyano; t is 1 or 2; B is oxygen, sulphur atom or -CH=CH-; R 13 is phthalimide, thiophthalimide, di- or tetrahydrophthalimide or dialkylmaleimide; R 14 is allyl, propargyl, benzyl or alkadienyl; R 15 is hydrogen or methyl; R 16 is phenyl, thienyl or furyl; and W is methyl or halogen. The novel acetates possess pesticidal properties. |
