abstract | The invention relates to methods of preparing polymeric compounds useful in the immunoregulatory treatment of tumor therapy. The object and the object of the invention were to discover processes for the preparation of certain copolymers of an olefin monomer having from about 2 to about 4 carbon atoms and an alpa, beta-unsaturated polycarboxylic anhydride having from 4 to about 6 carbon atoms, the non-toxic, for immunoregulating treatment in provide useful products for tumor therapy. This object has been achieved by reacting a half-amide, half-ammonium salt derivative of the copolymer in which the copolymer has a molecular weight in the range of about: 300-1500 to further derivatize the copolymer with ammonia such that both (a ) Half-amide, half-ammonium salt groups, and (b) imide groups, wherein the imide groups comprise from about 5 to about 40% by weight of the derivatized groups, and optionally the half-ammonium salt group to others , converts pharmaceutically acceptable salt groups. |
