Method and propeller mixer for mixing two components reacting violently with each other |
abstract |
The invention relates to a method and a device for intimately mixing two Fluigigkomponenten that react with each other almost immediately after their union. There is a known risk that, due to the rapid onset of the reaction, there will be insufficient mixing before the reaction and, as a result, the formation of solid by-products which may cause clogging of the device. To avoid this risk, the first component is introduced under pressure in the form of a fan-shaped spray jet into a substantially cylindrical mixing chamber, practically in the direction of the mixing chamber longitudinal axis, with the second component simultaneously under pressure and in the form of at least two fan-shaped spray jets is introduced perpendicular to the spray of the first component in the flow path in the mixing chamber. The resulting mixture of the two liquid components is led from the mixing chamber to a downstream reaction zone. |
