abstract | The invention relates to a process for the preparation of novel 2-arylaminohexahydropyrimidines and imidazolines of the general formula in which R & ind1! and R & ind2! are the same or different and are hydrogen atoms, alkyl, alkyloxy or alkylthio groups having 4 to 12 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl groups having 3 to 7 carbon atoms, optionally with halogen or C & ind1! -C & ind4! Alkyl substituted benzyloxy, benzylthio, phenoxy or phenylthio groups, phenylalkyl groups having 7 to 11 carbon atoms, the phenyl group of which is optionally substituted with halogen, dialkylamino or with alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio, which alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio groups contain 1 to 6 carbon atoms and optionally halogenated, furylalkyl or thienylalkyl groups whose alkyl groups contain 1 to 4 carbon atoms, dialkylamino groups whose alkyl groups each contain 2 to 6 carbon atoms, or alkoxycarbonyl groups having 4 to 12 carbon atoms, or in the R & ind1! and R & ind2! together represent a trimethylene, tetramethylene or butadienylene group, with the specification that R & ind1! and R & ind2! not both are hydrogen, R & ind3 !, R & ind4 !, R & ind7! and R & ind8! are the same or different and represent hydrogen atoms or alkyl groups having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and R & ind5! and R & ind6! are the same or different and represent hydrogen atoms, alkyl groups having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or alkanoyl groups having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, or a salt or a complex thereof. The new compounds have good fungicidal properties and can be used in agriculture and horticulture to prevent mold infections. |
