abstract The present invention relates to the active ingredient, the bait, and the method for attracting veils. The active ingredient is a mixture of at least two of phenylacetaldehyde, acetic acid and methyl salicylate, preferably all three, on an artificial or natural carrier to detect the presence of the veils, to follow the course of the veils, and to monitor the presence of the veils. it is suitable for increasing the population density in a given area and increasing the number of deposited veils, thereby helping to destroy veils and larvae, such as predators, with more harmful insects.
