titleOfInvention | Process for producing carbohydrate polymer grains with discrete modified surface for cosmetical use, carbohydrate polymer grains produced by this process and cosmetical compositions containing them |
abstract | The present invention relates to a method for the preparation of discrete modified surface carbohydrate polymer gels for cosmetic purposes, from a water-insoluble carbohydrate polymer having cross-links. The process is characterized by the fact that on a substrate having a negatively charged flat surface, an aqueous solution of basic charged polyamino acid hydrogen halide is deposited at a thickness of up to 200 µm, the non-or poorly adhered excess of the polyamino acid is removed by washing, and the cross-linked carbohydrate polymer particles are oxidized in aqueous solution with alkaline periodate in aqueous solution, and the resulting aldehyde-containing cross-linked carbohydrate aqueous gel is contacted with the basic polyamine acid layer, the applied layer is then treated with an aqueous alkaline reducing agent, preferably an aqueous NaBH4 or NaBH3CN solution, and the non-adherent or poorly adhered particles are removed by washing, then the adhering, basic, polyamine-free, discretely modified surface carbohydrate gel particles are mechanically separated from the flat surface by means of alkali, acid or salt solution. The invention further relates to the above-described discrete modified surface carbohydrate polymer gel for cosmetic purposes. The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising a discretely modified surface carbohydrate polymeric agent and known cosmetic additives prepared as above. , "Ο f __ |
