abstract |
The present invention relates to the mandelate salt, the N-oxide forms and the stereochemically isomeric forms thereof of the compound of formula I wherein R 1 and R 2 are independently hydrogen or C 1-6 alkyl, R 3 and R 4 are independently hydrogen or halogen; A C 6 alkyl group is a straight or branched saturated hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms. The novel mandelate salts of the present invention are non-photosensitive and more stable than other salts known in the art at room temperature and at elevated temperatures as well as in high humidity environments and aqueous media. The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions for the preparation of mandelate salts and for the treatment of central nervous system disorders, cardiovascular disorders and gastrointestinal disorders.
