Enzymatic process for resolving amino acid enantiomers |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a novel enzymatic process by which resolution of an aminosavenant is possible. More specifically, the process consists in reacting the racemic mixture of the amino acid with glutaric anhydride and then with the glutaryl7-ACA acylase enzyme to obtain one of the enantiomers of the amino acid, while the other enantiomer remains in the corresponding glutaryl amide derivative.
