abstract The fibers are formed by extruding tensile material from cellulose acetate acetone solution or extruding such material into a spinning process. After some degree of drying, the resulting fibers are vacuum-dried. A dry external crust is formed and the vacuum causes the solvent inside the dross to scatter or burst into an outer crust on the fiber, and leaves the fiber in the microporous well, thereby forming a large surface of the fibers with microporous cavities and internal hollow volume.
