abstract |
The foamed porous particles of the present invention are formed of expandable polymer particles, the foamed porous particles have a bulk density in the range of about 550-200 kg / m3, a propellant content of less than 6.0% by weight of the polymer, and a loss of propellant of at least 15% at room temperature. less than that of said foamable particles for the same specified time at room temperature. The foamed particles of the present invention can be shipped in packages that are lower in strength and more suitable for users than packages used to transport foamable particles because there is no need for equipment to impregnate and foam them with a propellant.
