titleOfInvention | Procedure and apparatus for examining eye vision functions |
abstract | During the procedure, the test function is used to determine the dimming function, to illuminate the eye under strong light, and to measure the time to return to pre-illumination visual function. According to the invention, periodic motion charts are used and the visual function is determined based on the detection of optokinetic nystagmus. Another method is to determine the visual function before and after photostress by measuring the critical fusion frequency (CFF). The apparatus comprises a light source (1) capable of illuminating a test chart and triggering a photostress, a test pattern illuminated by a light source (1), an optical device projecting the light source and / or a test chart into the eye (5). The apparatus has a test unit (3) for moving and switching the test charts and a measuring unit (6) electrically connected to the test unit (3) comprising an eye motion detector (61) and an associated display (62) and a timer (63). Another embodiment of the apparatus comprises a test unit (3) designed as a vibrating light source with variable frequency. SHE |
