titleOfInvention Process for producing chlorine
abstract The present invention provides a process for the production of chlorine by oxidizing hydrochloric acid in oxygen-containing gas with oxygen-containing gas in the presence of a catalyst. and where at least one of the temperatures in the reaction zone is controlled by a heat exchange system. According to the method, the catalyst maintains a stable activity and the chlorine is obtained stably with good production, since the catalyst is charged with a layer. the superheat point is reduced and the catalyst-filled layer is used efficiently.
