abstract The present invention relates to a two-component surfactant system, to agricultural formulations and their use. The surfactant system is an alkoxylated tristyryl phenol hemisulfate t-ester of formula (H-B) + A-1-nos - wherein A is a (A-1-alkyl) moiety wherein each R 1 is alkylene; and 1-50; and an alkoxylated alkylamine of formula (H-B) + A-1-nos, wherein (H-B) + a cation of formula (B) -1-nos wherein R2 is hydrogen, alkyl or alkenyl-CH2; each R 3 is alkylene, x 1-50 and y 0-50. The system of the present invention can be used to replace conventional alkylphenol ethoxyl t surfactants in agricultural formulations, such as preservatives.
