abstract | The present invention relates to structures for use in absorbent articles comprising a first region for a liquid absorption / distribution target and a second region for the storage of a liquid. The material of the first region has a high capillary desorption pressure, the material of the second region has a sufficiently high capillary absorption pressure, so that it effectively draws liquid from the first region. Thus, the cumulative flow of material of the first region is greater than 0.075 g / cm2 / s at a height of 12.4 cm, and / or a suction time of less than 120 s at this height, material of the second region satisfying at least one of the following requirements: 15 g / g at 35 cm in an absorption test; and / or (b) an absorption capacity of at least 15 g / g at 0 cm according to the capsule assay and an absorbance efficiency of at least 55% at 40 cm; and / or (c) an acapillar at least 50 cm at 50% of the height of absorption (CSM 50) according to the absorption test.
