abstract | The present invention relates to various oxime derivatives of the formulas (1) and (2), which do not chemically damage the plants and exhibit adequate efficacy against various plant diseases. In the formula (1), R 1 is hydrogen or alkyl; X is halogen, nitro, hydroxy, cyano, carboxyl, alkoxycarbonite or alkyl optionally substituted; optionally substituted alkoxy; optionally substituted alkylthio; optionally substituted alkylsulfonyl; optionally substituted aryloxy; optionally substituted aryloxy; or an optionally substituted amino group; n is an integer from 0 to 3; HetA represents a 6-membered aromatic nitrogen-containing ring or benzo-condensation ring of an optionally substituted nitrogen-containing ring; and HetB is an oxime derivative of the formula wherein Y is hydrogen or halo or optionally substituted lower alkyl. In the general formula (2), R1, X, n, HetB and Y are as defined for formula (1) and HetC is a 5-membered nitrogen-containing aromatic ring or a benzo-condensation ring of the optionally substituted nitrogen-containing aromatic ring. The invention relates to the intermediate of formula (b) wherein X, n, HetB and Y are as defined above. The present invention relates to pesticides and plant disease control agents which contain the above oxime derivatives as an active ingredient.
