titleOfInvention A method of isolating or purifying a sweetener
abstract The present invention relates to a process for the purification of N- (3,3-dimethylbutyl) -α-L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester. According to the invention, at least the aspartyl L-phenylalanine methyl ester is contacted as an impurity with a biphasic solvent mixture, one phase containing at least one water-immiscible organic solvent and the other phase water, and thus the N- (3.3 -dimethylbutyl) -L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester is isolated in the organic phase.
