abstract |
The present invention relates to late transition metal catalyst systems immobilized on a solid support and to their use in heterogeneous phase polymerization processes, in particular gas phase polymerization of olefin monomers. The preferred late transition metal catalyst system of the present invention comprises a dental ligand structure-stabilized Group 9 metal complex containing immobilized on a support consisting of solid, porous metal or metalloid oxide particles, the support preferably comprising silica. Gas phase polymerization of olefin monomers is accomplished by contacting the above catalyst system under one or more olefin gas phase polymerization conditions. SHE |
